Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t know how to use an iPod?
Each of the iPod Kits contains detailed instructions on how to use them and a Library Staff member would be happy to go through it with you.

How long do I get to borrow an iPod for?
They are loaned out for 3 weeks with the ability to renew once.

Can I log into my Apple ID account?
No, for confidentiality and security reasons, the ability to log-in to patron’s personal Apple accounts has been disabled.

There’s a few songs that I’d like to add to a certain iPod. Can I buy them and add them myself?
We are always happy to get suggestions and feedback but you are unable to load the songs onto the iPod yourself. Let a Library staff member know and we will try to incorporate your suggestion.

What else can I do on the iPod other than listen to music?
In order to make the iPods the simplest and most accessible for patrons to use, all other functions aside from listening to music and connecting to Bluetooth Speakers have been disabled.

What if the iPod that I want is at a branch that I usually don’t use?
The iPods are holdable just like books or movies. Place a hold online or ask a staff member at the Library and have it brought to your desired branch.
