Dear Parents



STEM Village is a supplemental education and career guidance program, created to help equip our youth for careers in the new knowledge economy. 
The program uses  online education tools to assess, educate, guide, and motivate students to improve their skills in critical
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) areas and  ultimately succeed.
We are excited to be using an online app called STEM Village to help augment student  learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). 


How to Create an Account for Your Child:        

1) Please note that STEM Village only works using a Google Chrome browser (or Safari  for iPads only).

2) Register yourself as a parent at: Sign-up  <https://app.stemvillage.com/?pcode=70D815BD2561864E0858AFE39FDAF85C55AD645A> .    
3) You will receive a verification email.  Please click on the link in the email to  activate your parent account.    
4) From your parent dashboard, you can then add student(s) and select their initial  password(s).  
It is important that your child remembers both their username and  password so that they can login at the library.
        

What is STEM Village?    
STEM Village links students to the latest leading edge online learning tools to develop the critical STEM skills required in the modern 
digital economy.  The system  provides guided online learning packages (including fun games, interactive tools,and review questions) 
for each individual skill, confirms knowledge through  user-friendly skill challenges, and tracks the completed skills for students,  
parents, and teachers to review at any time.  Math and Science skills are mapped  directly to the Ontario school curriculum, 
while emerging Technology and Engineering  skills are also included to round out the student’s entire “STEM tool kit”.  
As students progress, the reward point system earns them items or privileges that you  can assign as a parent like an “hour of video game time”,
as an example.
