1871 Census Index -- This database contains the names of the heads of households in the Province of Ontario as recorded in April 1871. The database has been created by the Ontario Genealogical Society, in cooperation with the National Archives of Canada.

1881 Canadian Census On-line -- The 1881 Canadian, US and British census databases are now available for searching at familysearch.org.

1891 Canadian Census On-line -- Search the 1891 Canadian Census Online on the Library and Archives Canada website.

Archives of Ontario -- Government web site maintained by the Ministry of Citizenship, Culture, and Recreation with information regarding getting started on genealogical research, microfilm interloan service, preparing for a visit to the Archives of Ontario, major genealogical holdings at the Archives of Ontario, vital statistics, Family History Centres in Ontario, and links to other genealogical resources on the Internet.

Family Search Internet -- Mormons Church's (Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints) database. Very organized site utilizing a family-tree set up for searches; includes International Genealogical Index.

Family Tree Maker Online -- "The Largest and Most Complete Online Genealogical Resource" set up similarly to Yahoo search engine with over 325 million first, middle and last names; links to hundreds of genealogical resources.

Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario --

First Name Basis -- Search for genealogical information by first and middle names, women's maiden names and women's married names.

Genealogy.com -- "The Leading Source for Family History;" offers a variety of genealogical activities, resources and software.

Genealogy Gateway -- This award winning web site offers links to major genealogy searches on the Internet, extensive surname links, beginner help and information, messaging forums, listing gateways, surname gateways, specialty gateways, ethnic and international resources, and access to search the Genealogy Library.com.

York Region Census -- York Research Resources is a compilation of online references, books, articles, and useful addresses to assist with research in York Region.
